Felician University is seeking an experienced Counselor to provide individual and group counseling, workshops, and discussion groups for student well-being. This full-time, in-person 12-month appointment reports to the Director Counseling and Wellness Services.

The Counselor will respond to crises, offer outreach to staff working with students, and develop educational programs addressing mental health topics. Collaboration with Student Affairs is essential to foster an inclusive campus culture.

Formación

• Current NJ professional license as LPC, LCSW, or Psychologies.
• 3+ years of counseling or mental health experience with college students or adults.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to present information through public speaking, workshops and trainings.
• Proficiency with electronic health records, documentation systems, online platforms, social media, and basic office technology.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and training.
• Ability to work in an office with a trained therapy dog.
• Willingness to support Felician Franciscan core values and mission.

Responsabilidades

• Provide individual and group counseling, workshops, discussion groups, and other programs for student mental health.
• Respond to psychological crises and provide consultation and outreach to staff working with students.
• Develop and deliver educational and prevention programs addressing mental health topics.
• Collaborate with the Student Affairs team and across divisions to promote a supportive campus culture.
