Responsibilities

  • Oversees mission, vision and values of Harmony Public Schools.
  • Manages organization, implementation, verification, and distribution of materials for all local and state assessments.
  • Attends trainings on assessments and state/federal programs.
  • Acts as liaison between campus and district office for assessment guidelines.
  • Collaborates with SPED, LPAC, 504, and RTI committees on testing program requirements.
  • Ensures integrity and security of all assessments.
  • Provides staff training and orders tests/materials.
  • Builds schedules, arranges rooms, and handles copies/scans.
  • Investigates coding errors and test irregularities as needed.
  • Monitors CIP and related program budgets; develops procedures for at-risk students.
  • Prepares and submits reports; maintains records and documents as required.
  • Complies with applicable laws and policies.
  • Coordinates state and federal program activities at campus, including CIP, Parental Involvement, etc.
  • Leads parent events and maintains meeting minutes.
  • Uploads documents to designated sites and keeps hard copies.

Job Description

JOB GOAL: Coordination and integration of federal, state, and local services and programs including CIP development, test administration, parent involvement, and services to at-risk students.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum 2 years of teaching experience (Preferred)
  • Valid Texas Educator Certification (Preferred)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Understands and supports the mission, vision and values of Harmony Public Schools.
  • Takes responsibility for the organization, implementation, verification, collection, and distribution of materials for all local and state assessments.
  • Attends all required trainings regarding assessments, state and federal programs
  • Serves as liaison between campus and the district office for proper implementation of assessment guidelines and criteria
  • Works with campus personnel, Special Education, LPAC, Section 504, and RTI committees on testing program requirements
  • Takes responsibility for the integrity and security of all assessments.

  • Builds schedules, arrange rooms, make photocopies, scan (if necessary)
  • Assists in the correction of coding errors as needed.
  • Assists with investigating and preparing reports for test irregularities if needed.
  • Develops and implements procedures to monitor at-risk students.
  • Works with students, parents, and staff to ensure students’ academic success.
  • Contributes to the development of program goals to reduce school failure and dropout rates.
  • Evaluates the state and federal programs at the campus and implements changes based on the findings.
  • Compiles budget and cost estimates based on documented program needs.
  • Compiles, maintains, and files all reports, records, and other documents required.
  • Complies with policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rule, and the local board policy.
  • Collects and submits Time and Effort Sheet (TES) for grant funded employees
  • Informs grant funded employees about their funding source and trains them on how to complete TES
  • Coordinates state and federal programs related activities at the campus including, but not limited to, Comprehensive Needs Assessment, Campus Improvement Plan, Parental Involvement activities, etc.
  • Conducts surveys related to state and federal programs
  • Compiles detailed CIP budget and submits it to the district
  • Informs district office in the event a grant funded employee resigns, moves into another position or changes schedule for more than 10%
  • Reports regularly to campus admin team, district office and central office on the progress of the state and federal programs
  • Meets regularly with stakeholders and keeps meeting minutes
  • Leads and participates in parent events
  • Uploads documents to designated web site and maintains hard copies
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Knowledge about state accountability and district/state assessments

  • Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral forms with all levels of management, both internal and external to the district.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships both internal and external to the district.
  • Ability to use computer including software, database used by the district, spreadsheet and word processing software, calculator, copy machine and telephone.
  • Ability to analyze data
  • Ability to use effective interview techniques, effective public speaking skills, and problem-solving skills

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Light Work: may require occasional light lifting.
  • Nights and weekend activities will be occasionally required.
  • Position is in classroom setting and requires intermittent speaking, standing, walking and writing.
  • Moderate travel is required.
