Job summary

Harmony Public Schools is seeking a coordinator to oversee the integration of federal, state, and local services, including CIP development, test administration, and parent involvement, with emphasis on at-risk students.

The role requires collaboration across campus and district offices to ensure proper implementation of assessment guidelines and related programs, while maintaining security and accuracy of all testing activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum 2 years of teaching experience (Preferred).
  • Valid Texas Educator Certification (Preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Supports mission and values of Harmony Public Schools.
  • Manages organization, verification, collection and distribution of materials for local/state assessments.
  • Attends required trainings for assessments and programs.
  • Acts as liaison between campus and district for assessment guidelines.
  • Collaborates with Special Education, LPAC, Section 504 and RTI on testing programs.
  • Ensures integrity and security of all assessments.
  • Provides staff training and orders tests and materials.
  • Builds schedules, arranges rooms, and handles copies/scans.
  • Monitors coding errors and investigates test irregularities.
  • Develops procedures to monitor at-risk students.
  • Engages with students, parents and staff to drive academic success.
  • Contributes to CIP and program goals to reduce failure/dropout rates.
  • Evaluates state/federal programs and implements changes.
  • Compiles budget estimates and maintains all required reports.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Understands and supports the mission, vision and values of Harmony Public Schools.
  • Takes responsibility for the organization, implementation, verification, collection, and distribution of materials for all local and state assessments.
  • Attends all required trainings regarding assessments, state and federal programs.
  • Serves as liaison between campus and the district office for proper implementation of assessment guidelines and criteria.
  • Works with campus personnel, Special Education, LPAC, Section 504, and RTI committees on testing program.
  • Takes responsibility for the integrity and security of all assessments.
  • Provides training to staff.
  • Orders tests and other materials.
  • Builds schedules, arranges rooms, makes photocopies, scans (if necessary).
  • Assists in the correction of coding errors as needed.
  • Assists with investigating and preparing reports for test irregularities if needed.
  • Develops and implements procedures to monitor at-risk students.
  • Works with students, parents, and staff to ensure students’ academic success.
  • Contributes to the development of program goals to reduce school failure and dropout rates.
  • Evaluates the state and federal programs at the campus and implements changes based on the findings.
  • Compiles budget and cost estimates based on documented program needs.
  • Compiles, maintains, and files all reports, records, and other documents required.
  • Complies with policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rule, and the local board policy.
  • Collects and submits Time and Effort Sheet (TES) for grant-funded employees.
  • Informs grant-funded employees about their funding source and trains them on how to complete TES.
  • Coordinates state and federal programs related activities at the campus including Needs Assessment, Campus Improvement Plan, Parental Involvement activities, etc.
  • Conducts surveys related to state and federal programs.
  • Compiles detailed CIP budget and submits it to the district.
  • Informs district office if a grant-funded employee resigns, moves into another position or changes schedule for more than 10%.
  • Reports regularly to campus admin team, district office and central office on the progress of the state and federal programs.
  • Meets regularly with stakeholders and keeps meeting minutes.
  • Leads and participates in parent events.
  • Uploads documents to designated web site and maintains hard copies.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to use computer including software, database used by the district, spreadsheet and word processing software, calculator, copy machine and telephone.
  • Ability to analyze data.
  • Ability to use effective interview techniques, effective public speaking skills, and problem-solving skills.
Work Environment And Physical Requirements
  • Light Work: may require occasional light lifting.
  • Nights and weekend activities will be occasionally required.
  • Position is in classroom setting and requires intermittent speaking, standing, walking and writing.
  • Moderate travel is required.
