Job summary

Bon Appétit Management Company is hiring immediately for a full-time COOK at St. Mary’s College of Maryland in St. Mary’s City, MD. The schedule is Sunday 8:00 AM–4:00 PM and Monday through Thursday 1:30 PM–9:30 PM.

Online applications are accepted only. Prior food service experience is required. This role prepares food to federal, state and corporate standards, maintains food quality and safety, and supports station setup and clean-up.

• Previous food service experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules.
• Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting standards, ensuring correct temperatures and appealing presentation.
• Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat; stores or discards excess food per safety rules.
• Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Assists in ordering and receiving of all food and supplies.
• Maintains safe work environment and reports maintenance needs to supervisor.
