Job summary

The University of Alabama in Huntsville is seeking a Construction Project Manager II to lead medium to complex planning, design, and renovation projects for the Facilities & Operations department. You will coordinate with the CFO, Director of Planning, and stakeholders to ensure scope, schedule, and budgets align with university goals.

Responsibilities include overseeing design professionals, consultants, and vendors; tracking progress, budgets, and compliance with building codes; and reporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equiv. in CM/Facilities/Business.
• 5–7 years of full-time construction/facilities mgmt experience.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable MVR.
• Proficiency in MS Office, Google Suite, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Ability to read specs, blueprints, and drawings.
• Ability to negotiate and influence others; maintain relationships.
• Ability to supervise contractors/engineers; manage workloads.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from concept through implementation, coordinating scope, schedules, and budgets.
• Ensure compliance with contract requirements, UAH standards, and building/safety codes.
• Coordinate design professionals, consultants, and vendors.
• Track progress, budget status, and schedules; provide updates to leadership.
