Job summary

Auburn University’s Facilities Management is seeking a Construction Tech to join the Facilities Maintenance Zone 2 on campus. You will contribute to construction, repair, and maintenance of university buildings, streets, and property, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for students and staff.

Expect hands-on work in carpentry, painting, demolition, and operations of powered equipment while meeting department training requirements. This role is full-time and on campus in Auburn, AL.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Assists in carpentry tasks for installation, repair, and maintenance of ceilings, floors, walls, windows, doors, and siding.
• Prepares and paints interior and exterior surfaces including sheetrock, wood, brick, concrete, handrails, posts and chains.
• Performs minor demolition for renovations and construction projects.
• Operates motorized equipment such as forklifts, trucks, and man lifts.
• Meets training and credentialing requirements per department.
