Job summary

The University at Buffalo is seeking a Construction Equipment Operator within Campus Operations. You will operate and service large equipment, load and unload trucks, and perform snow and ice removal during the winter season to maintain campus grounds.

Responsibilities include operating backhoes, dump trucks, loaders, tractors, and other equipment; performing routine maintenance; assisting with turf projects; moving cargo; and manual labor to keep campus safe and accessible.

Qualifications

• Duties include operating, servicing, loading/unloading large motor vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Operating large grounds maintenance equipment (packers, backhoes, dump trucks, loaders, tractors)
• Assisting with turf projects, fertilizing, grass cutting, pruning and planting
• Driving large delivery vehicles, loading/unloading, transporting freight
• Performing routine service on vehicles and equipment including tires, fluids, plows
• Moving cargo on and off vehicles
• Removing snow and ice from paved surfaces
• Performing manual labor to maintain campus grounds
