Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma; two-year degree in horticulture preferred.
• Two years of experience in landscaping/grounds maintenance.
• Knowledge of operation of engines and equipment; valid driver license; knowledge of plants and their care.

Responsibilities

• Snow removal.
• Operate equipment: fork truck, plow truck, forklift, mowers, weed eaters, chainsaw, backhoe, snow blower.
• Stockpiling and application of salt and sand during winter months.
• Maintain equipment: oil changes, lubrication, minor repairs.
• Prune shrubs and trees; maintain lawn areas.
• Maintain shrub/flower beds; weed, mulch, edge.
• Deliver intercampus materials; mail, supplies, furniture.
• Maintain parking lots, sidewalks, stairways; perform repairs and painting as needed.
• Install campus signage and brick pavers; assist with drains.
