Job summary

Dartmouth College is seeking a Concessions Assistant to support food and beverage sales at athletic events on campus. The role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working varied shifts, including outdoor environments. Training will be provided where needed.

This is a temporary part-time, 8-month position with event-driven hours. Responsibilities include cash handling, adhering to cleanliness standards, and delivering courteous service to guests.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills and ability to follow customer relations policies and procedures.
• Basic understanding of cleanliness procedures and general sanitation regulations.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time and to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Must be willing to work varied shifts and required overtime.
• Must be willing to work outside.

Responsibilities

• General duties involved with assisting with Concessions sales.
• Handles food in line with cleanliness protocol and sanitation regulations.
• Runs a cash register and processes payments.
• Interacts with the public in a courteous and respectful manner.
• Carries out light cleaning duties associated with the Concessions position.

• Demonstrates professionalism and collegiality through actions, interactions, and communications with others appropriate to an environment that is welcoming to all.
