Job summary

Alpha School is hiring a Coaching Manager (Lead Guide) to build and lead a team of Guides across campuses, coaching leaders, and creating an environment where students consistently exceed expectations.

This role focuses on coaching, life-skills workshops, and driving student outcomes through data, observation, and feedback. It is a full-time, on-site position with relocation support and campuses in major US markets.

Qualifications

• Requires 5+ years in education, coaching, learning and development, or related leadership role.
• Experience leading teams of five or more people, including hiring and termination decisions.
• Experience using data to drive performance improvements.

Responsibilities

• Coaching Guides to deliver exceptional student experiences while upholding high standards.
• Lead life-skills workshops developing communication and leadership in K-12 students.
• Motivate students toward ambitious learning goals in self-directed programs.
• Use data, observations and coaching conversations to improve Guide performance and student outcomes.
• Help launch new Alpha campuses by establishing a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
