Job summary

Alpha School is hiring a Coaching Manager (Lead Guide) to build and lead a high-performing team of Guides, delivering coaching and life-skills experiences for K-12 students. The role focuses on mentorship, accountability, and data-driven improvements in student outcomes.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in education or related leadership, a Bachelor's (Master's preferred), and willingness to work on-site at Alpha campuses in multiple U.S. locations. Relocation support is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Business, or related field is required.
• At least 5 years of experience in education, coaching, learning and development, or related leadership.
• Experience leading teams of five or more people, including hiring and performance decisions.
• Demonstrated ability to use data to drive performance improvements.
• Experience with children ages 5–14 in educational/ coaching settings.
• Experience launching a new team or campus from zero.

Responsibilities

• Coaching Guides to deliver exceptional student experiences while upholding Alpha's standards.
• Lead life skills workshops to develop communication, leadership, focus, and other real-world skills.
• Motivate students to achieve ambitious learning goals in self-directed programs.
• Use data, observation, and coaching conversations to improve Guide performance and outcomes.
• Help launch and establish new Alpha campuses with a culture of excellence and accountability.
