Job summary

The University System of New Hampshire seeks a Co-Gen Boiler Operator to oversee the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of heating and electrical systems across the campus Co-Gen facility and related boiler rooms. This role ensures a safe environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors while supporting reliable steam distribution and campus power.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with high pressure steam and 700HP boilers, and can coordinate after-hours tasks.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge and understanding of electrical distribution and high pressure steam systems.
• Experience in a college/university setting and ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
• Strong reading/writing and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor heating and electrical systems for the Co-Gen facility and boilers at All Well and PE Center.
• Respond to after-hours calls and perform minor repairs on university buildings, structures, machinery and equipment.
• Adjust building access schedules using Johnson Controls P2000 software after hours as needed.
