Job summary

Epic is seeking a Network Engineer to install, configure, and support campus and cloud networks from our Madison, WI campus. The role emphasizes infrastructure as code with Terraform and Ansible, WAN design, firewall rules, and ongoing optimization of our global network.

Relocation to the Madison area is reimbursed, and Epic offers comprehensive benefits, annual raises and bonuses, stock grants, and a sabbatical after five years.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, academic and professional success
• Experience or interest in switches, routers, access points, and/or UPSes
• Proficiency with Cisco enterprise hardware preferred; CCNA/CCNP certification helpful
• Relocation to Madison, WI area (reimbursed)
• Eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
• COVID-19 vaccination

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and support campus and cloud networks
• Evaluate technology and influence changes in Epic's internal infrastructure
• Configure firewall rules and design/troubleshoot WAN connectivity
• Embrace infrastructure as code using Terraform and Ansible
• Collaborate in a small team to keep Epic's network running for healthcare customers
