Job summary

KCU is seeking a Custodian I to perform general cleaning tasks across University buildings, maintaining a safe and clean campus environment. Responsibilities include dusting, mopping, vacuuming, trash collection, restroom sanitation, and reporting maintenance needs.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, ability to communicate in English, prior custodial experience preferred, and physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

• Requires reliable English communication (reading/writing) to perform essential functions.
• Experience in custodial work is preferred.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Performs cleaning functions including dust, mop, wet mop, vacuum, gather and dispose trash, wash walls and fixtures.
• Cleans restrooms using germicide, replaces disposables and refills supplies.
• Represent department and the University in alignment with Core Values and expectations.
• Perform other duties as assigned to meet goals and objectives.
