Job summary

University of Utah is hiring for a part-time childcare assistant at the Student Parent Support Center campus programs. You'll support teachers, supervise children, and help maintain a safe, engaging learning environment for ages birth to six.

Training is provided, and a food handlers permit, TB test, and background check are required within the first 60 days. Scheduling is Monday through Friday, with hours between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm, across multiple UKids locations on campus.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn about child development and guidance.
• Demonstrated human relations and effective interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Help children succeed in physical, social, and intellectual tasks.
• Reinforce concepts presented by the teacher and assist with planning activities.
• Supervise children and maintain a clean, orderly classroom environment.
• Assist Head Teacher with small group activities and daily routines.
• Meet with teachers to plan activities and support learning objectives.
