Job summary

The University of Utah Farmington Health Center Program seeks qualified child care providers for its drop-in facility. This is an entry-level role with on-the-job training, requiring the ability to lift children and obtain required health and safety certifications within the first 60 days of hire.

Multiple openings exist with continuous hiring. The position offers part-time hours, a daytime schedule, and a free public transportation pass.

Qualifications

• Entry-level position with on-the-job training provided.
• Willing to obtain a food handlers permit, TB test, and background check within 60 days of hire.
• Must be able to lift and carry small children (10–50 lbs.) and move about on floors/passages.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily activities and tasks to support teacher and children.
• Reinforce concepts and observe children, reporting observations to the teacher.
• Meet with teacher to plan activities and supervise small groups.
• Help maintain a clean, safe learning environment and assist with transitions.
