Job summary

The Buff Bus service at University of Colorado Boulder operates daily routes to serve faculty, staff and visitors. Roles require a valid CDL with passenger endorsement, and drivers coordinate routes with safety and vehicle readiness in mind.

Position offers $25.00/hour with shift differentials, a $2,000 sign‑on bonus after 6 months, and full benefits including ECO Pass and retirement options. Employment is designated essential services with year‑round hours.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid CDL Class A or B license without air brake restriction.
• CDL with passenger endorsement and the ability to pass DOT drug and alcohol tests.
• Two years of experience operating equipment appropriate to the work assignment, reduced to 6 months of experience operating a transit bus (HOP, RTD, or school bus).
• Must satisfactorily complete a pre-placement physical and a medical evaluation for the operation of a CDL.

Responsibilities

• Safely transports people using university vehicles on routine routes and contracts.
• Completes pre- and post-trip inspections and CDL paperwork.
• Conducts pre- and post-trip safety inspections and coordinates with dispatch for issues.
• Maintains operational readiness and participates in safety trainings and meetings.
