Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Valid Colorado driver’s license is required.
• CDL endorsement is required.
• First Aid and CPR certification/training is required.
• Bilingual in Spanish & English desired.

Responsibilities

• Further the Mission of the school.
• Pick up and deliver students as per schedule.
• Be attentive to traffic and weather conditions while staying on schedule and ensuring the safety of passengers.
• Perform daily safety and maintenance check.
• Perform minor maintenance duties such as filling fluid levels to the appropriate levels.
• Ensure vehicles are kept clean of trash/debris.
• Maintain a safe environment within the bus by enforcing conduct rules and responding to emergencies.
• Track and document the amount of fuel used, number of students transported and miles driven, and submit reports to supervisor.
• Deal with students, parents and staff in a courteous and respectful manner.
• Report any safety issues or misbehavior to the supervisor.
