Bates College in Lewiston, ME seeks a skilled carpenter/mason to execute campus construction, maintenance, renovation and repair projects using high-quality carpentry and masonry skills. Responsibilities include coordinating work with other trades, reading blueprints, and producing sketches for on-site installations.

Ideal candidates have 5 years of building experience, knowledge of tools, CAD drafting, and the ability to work weekends or evenings as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Trade school diploma or other carpentry and/or masonry credentials desirable.
• Familiarity with CAD drafting and blueprints desirable.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate all carpenter and/or masonry work with other building trades.
• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Communicate with customers, staff and faculty to understand needs.
• Provide sketches of objects to be built in the carpenter shop and installed throughout campus buildings.
• Operate all carpenter related equipment.
• Perform all carpentry related functions.
• Complete work orders and PM slips.
