Job summary

Mercer University is launching a new Career Peer program for 2026–2027 within the Center for Career & Professional Development (CCPD). This paid student role offers 10 hours per week, with compensation of $10–$15 per hour.

Peers will promote CCPD services, mentor students, assist with events, and gain professional development aligned with NACE competencies. Selected students will gain resume-worthy experience, leadership opportunities, and official references upon request, supported by CCPD

Qualifications

• Must have been enrolled at Mercer University for one academic semester, preferably two semesters.
• Must be enrolled during the time of employment.

Responsibilities

• Promote the Career Center’s value to Mercerians, including services, programs, and events.
• Conduct 15–30‑minute presentations to the Mercer community as requested.
• Contribute to the CCPD Social Media presence by resharing CCPD content and contributing peer insights.
• Review student resumes, cover letters, and LinkedIn profiles, leveraging CCPD’s AI platforms.
• Guide, mentor, and support students’ career exploration.
• Share student feedback with CCPD staff for continuous improvement.
• Refer classmates to CCPD services and staff.
