Job summary

The City University of New York is seeking a Construction Projects Manager (Level 3) to oversee campus capital initiatives and major renovations at Kingsborough Community College. The role reports to the VP of Finance and Administration and requires coordinating with CUNY, DASNY, and internal stakeholders to drive on-time, on-budget project delivery.

Responsibilities include defining scopes, managing multiple projects, and ensuring quality, safety, and adherence to university standards.

Qualifications

• A four-year high school diploma and six years of experience in planning, administering or expediting architectural/engineering design and/or construction of a non-industrial building to be occupied by people for educational use requiring a certificate of occupancy
• Experience using Archibus or a comparable CMMS for work order entry, tracking, and project or facilities-related activities.
• Strong attention to detail with demonstrated ability to maintain accurate project documentation and track milestones.

Responsibilities

• Manages and coordinates multiple initiatives within KCC’s capital portfolio, serving as a key liaison with CUNY, DASNY, and internal stakeholders.
• Leads the development of project scopes for internally managed capital and infrastructure initiatives.
• Oversees project execution with Buildings and Grounds and IT, ensuring schedule, budget, and successful delivery.
• Assists in capital planning and prioritization to align investments with strategic priorities.
• Coordinates project documentation, approvals, and stakeholder communication throughout the lifecycle.
