Job summary

Chartwells Higher Education Dining Services is seeking cooks for Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT. Positions are available for both full-time and part-time schedules with open availability, nights and weekends as required by location, and a fixed pay rate of $20.00 per hour.

Responsibilities include preparing food per recipes and standards, serving meals with correct portions and temperatures, and maintaining safety and cleanliness in a fast-paced food service environment.

Qualifications

• Prepares food in accordance with standards and procedures.
• Maintains safe food handling and correct food temperatures.
• Assists in production planning, ordering, and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepares high-quality food items according to recipes and schedules.
• Serves meals or prepares for delivery with proper portions and temperatures.
• Cleans and stores food, maintains cleanliness and safe handling practices.
• Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed.
