Compass Group USA is hiring a Prep Cook at Sacred Heart University, Fairfield, CT. Open to full-time and part-time roles with weekend shifts and flexible scheduling.

The position focuses on preparing food and serving customers in compliance with safety standards. Responsibilities include following production schedules, preparing items from recipes, maintaining cleanliness and HACCP compliance, and assisting with daily logs.

Qualifications

• Experience washing, peeling, cutting, chopping, slicing and portioning fruits, vegetables, meats, and other ingredients.
• Open availability with weekends required; scheduling may vary.

Responsibilities

• Obtains daily production schedule and prep requirements from the Chef.
• Prepares items on production sheets following quantities and recipes.
• Completes and follows daily production worksheets and waste logs; tastes meals for quality.
• Operates and cleans equipment per department procedures after use.
• Stores, labels and dates food items; follows HACCP guidelines.
• Takes customer orders and prepares items requiring short prep time.
• Serves customers efficiently and maintains sanitation standards.
