Job summary

Concordia College is seeking a dedicated Building Services Custodian to maintain clean, safe, and welcoming spaces across campus. This full-time, hourly role supports students, faculty and staff through routine cleaning and basic building tasks from 5:00am to 1:30pm.

You will operate custodial equipment, manage supplies, report maintenance needs, and assist with entrances and event setup, working Monday to Friday with some flexibility.

Qualifications

• No specific education or prior experience required.
• Previous custodial, commercial cleaning, housekeeping, facilities, or related experience.
• Previous experience using commercial custodial equipment and cleaning products.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain assigned areas such as classrooms, offices, restrooms, residence halls, and public spaces.
• Perform custodial tasks: sweeping, mopping, floor care, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning/restrooms, trash/recycling.
• Operate and care for custodial equipment and cleaning products safely.
• Maintain supplies and assist with basic building needs (changing light bulbs, reporting maintenance).
• Assist with snow/ice removal, exterior litter removal, furniture moves, event setup/teardown.
• Provide professional, responsive service with students, faculty, staff, coworkers.
