Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Specialized boiler operations training completed or credentialed.
• Boiler operator’s certificate required or obtainable.
• Extensive boiler, pumps, water treatment knowledge and EMS controls.

Responsibilities

• Perform general and preventive maintenance on boiler plant boilers, pumps, DA tank, water treatment, HVAC, and related systems.
• Inspect water filtration and water treatment systems; test boiler feed water chemistry.
• Operate and maintain boilers to state code and safety requirements; monitor temperature and pressure.
• Respond to emergencies and document repairs; read blueprints and order parts as needed.
• Train and supervise student and temporary employees in maintenance tasks.
