Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Bartender for Mississippi State University - Catering. You will craft both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, greet guests, handle payments, and contribute to a positive guest experience in a dynamic setting.

You’ll work with a team, follow alcohol service policies, and adapt to client needs. The role involves evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed within a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a bartender preferred.
• Knowledge of bartending principles, recipes and current trends.
• Able to obtain all Aramark and state/local required alcohol service certifications.
• Displays phenomenal hospitality, friendliness, and beverage knowledge.
• Demonstrates organizational and multitasking skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling up to 25 lb.
• Enjoys working in a fast-paced, fun work environment.
• Ideal candidate will be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greets guests and takes orders, processes cash and credit card transactions
• Mixes and serves both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
• May include providing servers drinks from the service well
• Adheres to alcohol service policies and safe drinking guidelines, including ID checks
• Adheres to cash handling policies
• Sets up and breaks down workstations, including cleaning and sanitizing
• Takes inventory counts and ensures product is stocked to appropriate levels
• Provides excellent guest service, anticipating guests' needs and satisfaction
• Maintains a positive demeanor towards guests, clients, co-workers, etc.
