Job summary

Gourmet Dining & Chartwells Higher Education, part of Compass Group USA, is seeking a part-time BARISTA at the Marist University Library in Poughkeepsie, NY. The role includes making coffee and espresso drinks, serving customers, and following HACCP guidelines to ensure safe, high-quality food and beverage service.

Schedule is Monday through Friday, 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, with online applications accepted only.

Qualifications

• Prior food handling experience required.
• Knowledge of food safety practices.
• Experience with barista and espresso drinks.
• Customer service experience required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares espresso drinks using standard measures and recipes.
• Enters orders into POS and processes payments.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of the service area.
• Follows HACCP guidelines and maintains food safety standards.
• Greets customers and explains menu items to drive sales.
