Chartwells Higher Ed in New Rochelle, NY is hiring a part-time Barista to join our campus dining team. Make and serve coffee and espresso drinks, handle food items, and maintain HACCP-compliant prep and sanitation practices.

The schedule is Wednesday 2:00 pm–10:00 pm and Saturday 10:00 am–4:00 pm, with online applications accepted. Prior barista experience is preferred but not required; compensation is $20.00 per hour with competitive benefits as described.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepares espresso orders for customers and catering using standard measures and recipes.
• Enters orders into POS device; accepts cash and card payments.
• Replenishes condiments, beverages and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service area.
• Ensures proper presentation, portion control and serving temperatures; follows HACCP standards.
• Maintains sanitation and orderliness of equipment, supplies and utensils.
• Greets customers and communicates to ensure satisfaction; assists in buying decisions.
