Job summary

The University of Notre Dame Operations, Events, and Safety (UOES) division is seeking a friendly, experienced part-time bartender for Legends, delivering high-energy service and accurate drink preparation in a driven campus environment.

You will greet guests, mix beverages, handle POS transactions, maintain bar cleanliness, and ensure compliance with health and state alcohol regulations while working a flexible schedule to support events and peak times.

Qualifications

• Previous bartending experience preferred; knowledge of drink recipes and bar operations required
• Ability to obtain a bartending license
• Must meet the minimum legal age requirement to serve alcohol in Indiana
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
• A positive attitude and a team-first mindset

Responsibilities

• Mix and serve a wide variety of beverages according to recipes and guest preferences
• Greet guests and take drink and limited food orders in a courteous manner
• Keep the bar stocked and monitor inventory; communicate restocking needs to management
• Maintain a clean, organized bar area and comply with health, safety and sanitation standards
• Process credit card transactions using a POS system with proper card handling procedures
