Job summary

Southeast New Mexico College (SENMC) seeks an AV Specialist to provide technical support for audiovisual systems, maintain and troubleshoot classroom and event technology, and collaborate with IT and vendors to ensure reliable learning environments.

The role requires an associate degree in a related field and 3 years of experience (or HS/GED with 5 years’ related work). Exempt status, on-site position in Carlsbad, NM.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in audiovisual technology, information technology, electronics, computer technology, telecommunications, or a related field with 3 years of related experience.
• Equivalency: HS diploma/GED with 5 years related experience; any approved combination by HR.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for audiovisual systems in classrooms, conference rooms, and event spaces.
• Install, configure, test, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot AV equipment (displays, projectors, cameras, mics, speakers, control systems, video conferencing).
• Monitor and support AV projects to meet college needs and standards.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and IT staff on design, installation, upgrades, and warranty services.
• Maintain documentation, inventory, and asset records for AV systems.
