Job summary

CT State Community College in New Haven, CT, seeks a Campus Associate Dean of Student Development to lead day-to-day campus operations for student services and collaborate with campus and central administration to ensure student success. The role reports to the Campus Dean and oversees Student Life, Activities, Conduct and Title IX.

The position requires a Master’s degree and 2+ years of administrative/managerial experience in higher education, with strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in an appropriately related academic discipline with two or more years of administrative and managerial experience in higher education including supervisory experience.
• Evidence of knowledge and skills in the development and implementation of student conduct matters.
• Experience and working knowledge of regional and specialized accreditation standards relevant to campus programming.
• Leading, directing and evaluating student support staff in a higher education environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) and strong data analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day campus operations of student services functions.
• Oversee Student Life, Student Activities, Student Conduct and Title IX at the campus.
• Staffing, hiring, evaluation, promotion and training of employees.
• Collaborate with campus and central administration to meet student needs across academic units.
• Foster partnerships with faculty, staff and external stakeholders to support student success.
