Job summary

The Alarm Technician II is responsible for installing access control systems in campus buildings (CCTV, card access, etc.); installs electrical wiring for security/fire alarm systems; pulls wire/cable and maintains a card access database for campus buildings. After-hours on-call emergencies and reliable attendance are essential.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma, NICET Level I certification or ability to obtain within 6 months, 7+ years in fire alarm systems, and a valid

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
NICET Fire Alarm Systems Level I Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.
Seven or more years of experience in fire alarm systems, including alarm/detection and sprinkler monitoring.
Experience with computer hardware, operating systems, IT networking.
Valid Driver License in good standing.

Responsibilities

Install access control systems (CCTV, card access) in campus buildings.
Install electrical wiring for security/fire alarm systems in campus buildings.
Troubleshoot electrical problems and maintain card access/CCTV systems.
