Job summary

Alabama-A admissions team seeks an Admissions Recruiter/Advisor to support campus enrollment efforts by providing information to prospective students, families and schools. You will help create communications, present at events, and build partnerships with high schools and community colleges.

The role requires travel, strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple recruitment activities across the state.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and at least 1 year of related experience.
• Ability to travel extensively, including nights and weekends.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Strong knowledge of admissions policies, standards and procedures.
• Excellent oral and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with prospective students, parents and community through appointments, phone, email and other materials.
• Assist with enrollment marketing publications and communications.
• Determine admissibility, transfer credit, and residency for undergraduates; classify students.
• Present information about education benefits at onsite locations and campus visits.
• Foster relationships with schools and communities being recruited.
• Compile recruitment data from Banner and other records.
• Visit schools, speak to groups, and meet with officials to develop partnerships.
• Advise students and families regarding opportunities, admission requirements, and financial aid as appropriate.
• Contribute to database of prospective/potential and current students; audit data and assess recruitment effectiveness.
• Analyze trends and design recruitment programs; support department goals and procedures.
