Job summary

Oregon State University-Cascades in Bend, Oregon is seeking an Assistant Director of Admissions for a full-time, 12-month professional faculty role. The incumbent will provide leadership and supervision of the admissions team, support campus enrollment goals, plan on-site recruiting events, and serve as the program representative at university functions.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree, at least 3 years in student services (admissions or advising), and prior supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
• 3 years of experience in student services such as admissions, enrollment services, advising, or orientation.
• Prior supervisory or lead experience.
• Excellent verbal, oral and written communication skills.
• Experience creating and conducting presentations.
• Ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
• Ability to think clearly under pressure and work with diverse cultures.
• Strong time management skills.
• Experience interpreting, applying and explaining policy.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Must be able to drive and travel in all weather conditions.
• Must be able to travel for extended periods and work irregular hours.
• Must lift 50 lbs and pass required background checks.
• Criminal history check and motor vehicle history checks required.

Responsibilities

• Program management and supervision of the admissions team.
• Counsel and advise prospective students and families.
• Supervisory duties and program evaluation.
• Plan on-campus recruiting events and represent the program at university functions.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to meet enrollment goals.
