Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in communications, press, digital, or campaigns.
• Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• Reliable transportation to attend events.
• Proficiency with Excel and Google Drive.
• Willingness to work irregular hours, including some nights and weekends.
• Quick learner with a proactive attitude.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to elect Abdul El‑Sayed to the U.S. Senate.
• Demonstrated multicultural competence.

Responsibilities

• Draft and edit communications materials including press releases, advisories statements, talking points, and op-eds.
• Media monitor, track interviews and reporter inquiries, and keep press lists up to date.
• Assist the communications team with daily operations and administrative tasks.
• Upload approved content to the website/newsroom and share internally for amplification.
• Manage press check in and logistics at campaign events.
• Take on additional duties as needed in a fast-paced environment.
• Support broader campaign needs as required.
