Job summary

Abdul for Senate is seeking talented candidates to work as a Press Secretary for the 2026 election cycle. We are looking for passionate, hardworking individuals who are committed to our mission of electing Abdul El-Sayed our next U.S. Senator.

The Press Secretary for Abdul El-Sayed for U.S. Senate is a key member of the communications team, responsible for executing the campaign’s message strategy and supporting the earned media plan across all platforms.

Qualifications

• Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
• 2-3 years in communications, press, digital, or campaigns.
• Must have transportation to attend events as needed.
• Willingness to work irregular hours including some nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Draft, edit, and manage the release of communications materials including press releases, statements, speeches, talking points, newsletters, and op-eds.
• Support a proactive and responsive earned media program by identifying story opportunities and coordinating press conferences.
• Monitor political developments and news cycles to identify opportunities for rapid response.
