Job summary

Oregon State University is seeking part-time CAMP Tutors to assist the incoming group of first-year migrant students. You will provide one-on-one tutoring, contribute to orientation activities, and support academic success using your subject knowledge across a range of disciplines.

This role also offers opportunities to attend tutor meetings, collaborate with peers, and participate in educational workshops to strengthen teaching strategies and student engagement.

Qualifications

• Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study.
• Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment.
• Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term (if applicable).
• Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term (if applicable).

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one tutoring to new CAMP students during scheduled tutoring times at approved locations on campus.
• Attend Tutor Meetings throughout the school year to connect with other tutors and share strategies.
• Participate in duties such as presenting to students at CAMP Orientation or educational workshops.
• Tutors will guide students in their academic learning and decide how best to teach.
