Base pay range

Shire Village Camp is hiring for Summer 2025! We're looking for kind, creative, and energetic people to join our intentional, tight-knit community in the Berkshire hills of Massachusetts. Shire is a small, cooperative sleepaway camp where kids ages 7–15 can be their most joyful, curious, and adventurous selves—and we’re looking for staff who want to do the same.

Now hiring for the following positions:

• Bunk Staff (Counselors): Live in a cabin with a small group of campers and co-create a safe, silly, and spirited summer. Bunk staff also assist in daily camp activities and help make the magic happen all over camp.
• Specialists: We are especially seeking folks with experience in:
• Woodworking - Share your skills and passions while supporting kids in hands-on, creative exploration.
• Horseback Riding Instructor: Run our riding program in partnership with a local stable. Experience with both riding instruction and horse care required.
• Lifeguards: Certified lifeguards needed to help keep our campers safe and confident in the water—both at our on-site pool and during out-of-camp trips.
