Job summary

Lifeway is seeking a Camp Event Coordinator for the Student Life Camps team. This on-site role in the Nashville area requires coordinating program direction, production elements, travel, and warehouse logistics to deliver camp assets each May.

You will recruit, train, and spiritually lead the summer staff, promote registrations at trade shows, and collaborate with coordinators to ensure timely camp delivery. Hybrid remote/in-office with relocation support offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Project Management, Event Coordination, or a related field is required.
• 3+ years of event or camp planning experience (summer camp staff or church ministry experience may substitute).
• Ability to manage event timelines, production, and communication from planning through execution.
• Experience coordinating with venues, vendors, and travel and shipping logistics.

Responsibilities

• Set the program direction, production elements, and activities for each assigned camp.
• Manage the full event timeline, including production, travel, communication, web, merchandise, and team assignments.
• Find ways to control costs and grow revenue, and recommend attendance and budget goals.
• Build and maintain relationships with church leaders, venue contacts, and vendors.
• Meet regularly with the event development team and facility contacts, and lead follow-up evaluation meetings.
• Deliver an outstanding experience for everyone who attends a Lifeway Camp.
• Recruit, interview, and train summer staff and seasonal camp leadership.
• Serve as a spiritual leader to the seasonal team.
• Promote camp registrations to student pastors at trade shows from September through April.
• Work in the warehouse to receive, sort, count, and weigh camp supplies so trucks can be packed on time each May.
