Job summary

Bright Horizons in Fremont, CA seeks a Camp Director to plan and run a kid-centric summer day camp and seasonal programs. You will recruit, hire, train and lead seasonal teams of up to 30, manage safety, logistics, and a six-figure budget, and build relations with schools and families.

On-site role during camp with some planning remotely in off-season; you will market programs, ensure compliance with policies, and deliver high-quality, profitable experiences for campers, staff and families.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; 3 years admin or supervisory experience in a Camp, Education or Childcare setting.
• Experience hiring and managing teams of 5+ staff.
• On-site management during camp; planning can be done remotely when not in session.
• Bright Horizons will not sponsor employment authorization/visa for this position.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all stages of employee life cycle for seasonal teams up to 30.
• Manage day camp operations for 9–10 weeks with ~150 campers daily and six-figure revenue.
• Develop relationships with local schools, PTAs, businesses for marketing opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with company, city and state policies for camps/childcare facilities.
• Manage a six-figure budget for personnel, food, and programming.
• Oversee logistics and inventory for camp operations and venue arrangements.
