Galileo Learning, LLC is seeking an experienced Camp Director for a seasonal role in Chicago, IL. You will lead Camp Galileo, oversee a dynamic team of educators, and serve as the public face of the organization within the community.

You will open and operate a Camp Galileo location, ensuring high-quality camper and family experiences, program excellence, and strong staff development. The role emphasizes safety, operations, and community partnership.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience working directly with students in an education setting.
• Minimum 1 year managing or supervising adult staff.
• Proven experience creating safe, inclusive environments for children and building trust with families.
• Proven experience setting clear expectations, giving ongoing feedback, and coaching staff to improve.

Responsabilités

• Lead a seasonal team of educators and staff to create joyful, safe environments.
• Uphold program quality, foster creativity, and deliver excellence in customer care, curriculum, and team leadership.
• Oversee camp operations from preseason planning to end-of-summer wrap-up.
• Ensure camper safety, family trust, and program fidelity at all times.
• Train and mentor staff, manage scheduling and payroll, and provide ongoing feedback.
