Job summary

Op-Careers is seeking a Pool Attendant at our Clearwater Beach property. The role focuses on greeting guests, maintaining a pristine pool area, and supporting daily hotel operations to ensure an exceptional guest experience.

You will set up the pool deck, manage towels and supplies, and assist with safety protocols and closing duties. Weekend availability and physical stamina are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Previous experience in guest-facing roles is a plus.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Excellent guest service and strong verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs and carry up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests at the pool in a professional, friendly manner.
• Anticipate guests' needs and respond promptly.
• Maintain positive guest relations at all times.
• Know daily operations of all F&B outlets and hotel facilities.
• Obtain towels from Laundry and transport to pool deck, fold and stack.
• Set up pool deck, furniture, towels, and umbrellas.
• Remove trash and debris, sweep and mop pool deck.
• Check restrooms for supplies and cleanliness; notify departments if needed.
• Follow pool safety procedures and lifesaving protocols when needed.
• Assist with closing duties and return soiled towels to Laundry.

Responsibilities:

• Greets all guests arriving at the pool in a professional, friendly, and engaging manner.
• Anticipate guests’ needs, responds promptly, and acknowledge all guests.
• Maintains positive guest relations at all times.
• Maintain complete knowledge of daily house count, VIPs in-house, arrivals/departures, all hotel facilities and services, and hours of operation for each F&B outlet.
• Obtain clean towels from Laundry and transport them to the pool deck; fold and stack towels.
• Open, set up, and organize pool deck.
• Set-up pool furniture, towels, and umbrellas.
• Remove trash and debris from all work areas and pool facilities.
• Sweep, wash down, mop, and clean the pool deck; use the squeegee to dry the decks.
• Check pool restrooms and throughout the shift for supply levels, cleanliness, and working order. Notify the proper departments of any needs.
• Adheres to all pool safety standards, including safety procedures for adverse weather conditions.
• Collects dirty towels left on chairs and pool deck.
• Utilize first aid and lifesaving procedures when situations demand.
• Complete closing duties. Return soiled towels to the Laundry.

Pay Rate:

$15 an hour

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Previous Experience is a Plus
• Able to work a flexible work schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Excellent guest service skills and oral communication skills.
• Ability to lift to 20 lbs. and carry up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to walk or stand for prolonged periods.
