Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical product design, preferably with camera- and sensor-based systems.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D modeling and detailed drawings.
• Experience with thermal management and simulations for reliable operation.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and drive projects independently.
• Design for manufacturability and assembly knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop innovative mechanical products from concept through prototype, focusing on camera- and sensor-based solutions.
• Create detailed 3D models and drawings using SolidWorks to support development and documentation.
• Apply thermal management principles and perform thermal simulations for reliability.
• Collaborate with electrical and software engineers to ensure seamless integration of mechanical, electrical, and software components.
• Develop, document, and manage mechanical design requirements to meet performance, reliability, and quality targets.
• Conduct design validation activities including testing, tolerance analysis, and design reviews.
• Perform root cause analysis and structured problem solving to resolve issues.
• Incorporate design for manufacturability and assembly into all designs for cost-effective production.
• Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, including drawings, specs, and test reports.
• Work independently with minimal supervision to drive projects and meet deadlines.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in camera/sensor-focused systems.
