Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical product design, preferably with camera and sensor systems.
• Strong mechanical engineering background with design for manufacturing.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D modelling, assemblies and drawings.
• Experience with thermal simulations and thermal management in product design.
• Hands-on experience with tolerance stack-ups and their application to mechanical assemblies.
• Experience with testing, structured problem-solving and root-cause analysis.
• Strong understanding of production design principles, including design for manufacturability and assembly.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop innovative mechanical products from concept through prototype with a camera-focused and sensor-focused solution.
• Create detailed 3D models and drawings using SolidWorks.
• Apply thermal management principles and perform thermal simulations.
• Collaborate with electrical and software engineers for system integration.
• Develop and manage mechanical design requirements ensuring performance, reliability, and quality.
• Conduct design validation, testing, tolerance analysis, and design reviews.
• Perform root cause analysis and structured problem-solving for design issues.
• Incorporate design for manufacturability and assembly into all designs.
