Job summary

NEP Studios is seeking a camera operator to photograph TV broadcasts and video productions. You will operate cameras, swing the jib, and control pan/tilt/focus to deliver dynamic shots.

Responsibilities include crane assembly, safety checks, and close collaboration with directors and crew on fast-paced productions. The role requires on-site work in New York, with flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelors Degree in Broadcasting or Communications preferred.
• 3 years of experience preferred with proven experience operating camera jib.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate television, video or motion picture cameras to photograph TV broadcasts and video productions.
• Swings the jib arm and controls pan, tilt, focus, and zoom to achieve fluid camera movements.
• Assembles and weights crane system, ensuring proper counterweight balance.
• Monitor footprint and counterweight clearance to protect talent and equipment.
• Collaborate with directors, camera operators and production departments.
• Test, clean and maintain equipment before, during, and after each assignment.
