Job summary

Vision Bioenergy Oilseeds LLC in Great Falls, MT seeks a Sales Agronomist to expand camelina acreage and build a reliable supply chain for downstream markets.

You will work with growers, agronomists, and partners to provide technical agronomic guidance, promote adoption, and meet acreage targets while representing the company at events and field days. Competitive salary with strong benefits awaits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in relevant field.
• 3–7 years experience in agronomy, seed sales, crop consulting, or specialty crop development.
• Experience with oilseed crops or rotational crops preferred.
• Proven relationship-based agricultural sales experience.
• Strong understanding of crop production systems in dryland and/or irrigated systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust with growers and channel partners.
• Ability to analyze agronomic data and provide practical, actionable recommendations.
• Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset and the ability to work independently.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel frequently within assigned regions.
• Comfortable working in a startup or emerging crop environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and expand camelina production acreage by engaging with growers, agronomists, and channel partners.
• Provide technical agronomic support to farmers, including crop establishment, management, and performance optimization.
• Assist farmers in integrating camelina into existing crop rotations to boost productivity and sustainability.
• Represent the company at grower meetings, field demonstrations, and trade shows.
• Monitor crop progress and troubleshoot issues to ensure successful establishment and performance.
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop educational materials, training sessions, and promotional activities.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, Plant Science, or a related field
