Job description

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Develop precision CAM toolpaths in Autodesk Fusion 360 for 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC machining operations.
• Program complex milling and turning geometries in metals and plastics, accounting for material properties, tolerances, and machine capabilities.
• Simulate and validate toolpaths to prevent collisions and gouging and improve cycle-time efficiency.
• Configure, refine, and document post-processors for CNC machines, including Haas and Makera equipment.
• Create detailed setup sheets, tool lists, and machining-strategy documentation for manufacturing teams.
• Write clear instructional content, walkthroughs, and technical guidance covering CAM programming methods and best practices.
• Use first-part results and inspection reports to refine CAM programs and outputs.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of hands‑on CAM programming experience and demonstrated proficiency with Fusion 360 CAM.
• Strong multi‑axis programming, toolpath strategy, simulation, and attention‑to‑detail skills.
• A portfolio or work samples demonstrating multi‑axis programming and toolpath strategy.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T, DFM principles, and post‑processor configuration.
• Experience programming in advanced CNC environments across aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, and plastics.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
• Experience creating or delivering CAM training content, such as courses, tutorials, mentoring, or online instructional materials, is preferred.

Work Terms

Remote contract engagement.

Work contributes specialized CAM expertise and technical feedback used to train and evaluate AI systems.

Compensation

$80 to $120 per hour.
