Job summary

Luxoft in the United States seeks a senior Calypso Business Analyst to support and extend Calypso instances across asset classes including accounting, settlement, and reconciliation.

You will configure chart of accounts, legal entities, transfer rules, reconciliation reporting, and custom workflows, collaborating with IT and business teams in a fast-paced financial services environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, or related field.
• 4+ years proven experience with the Calypso platform (cloud environment preferred).
• 5+ years hands-on Calypso experience as a Business Analyst; including hands on experience with accounting and hedge accounting.
• Capital Markets, Middle Office, Accounting and/or Asset Liability Management knowledge is strongly preferred.
• Experience working with a software vendor in a Business Analysis role or a functional role within capital markets.
• Capital markets instruments: fixed income, equities, FX, derivatives, repos, and structured products.
• Trade lifecycle from execution through settlement and accounting treatment (IFRS or local GAAP).
• CSDR settlement discipline regime and fails reporting obligations.
• Ability to understand technical issues and possess strong problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Account Setup & Chart of Accounts Mapping.
• Configuration of chart of accounts including account creation, categorization, and hierarchy.
• Mapping of Calypso internal accounts to GL accounts in downstream systems (e.g. SAP GL).
• Definition of accounting schemas, posting rules, and account aliases per asset class.
• Management of account attributes: currency, legal entity scope, and account type.
• Collateral setup of tri-party agreements and accounting flows.
• Legal Entity Configuration and setup including roles and SDIs.
• Assignment of books, portfolios, and counterparties to the correct legal entity hierarchy.
• Management of entity-level permissions, entitlements, and workflow access controls.
• Transfer Rules & Workflow Configuration for cash and securities movements.
• Settlement workflows including STP rules, manual override, and exception handling.
• Auto-confirmation rules, partial settlement logic, and fails management.
• Netting and aggregation rules for transfer optimization.
• Trade matching rules for securities settlement and cash reconciliation rules.
• Definition of break identification, ageing, and escalation rules.
• Integration with external reconciliation tools where applicable.
• Account Reconciliation Reporting and generation of templates.
• Automation of daily, month-end, and year-end reconciliation reports.
• Root-cause analysis of breaks and cross-team coordination.
• Statement Generation per Legal Entity and automated delivery via Calypso or SWIFT.
• Validation of statement content against internal records.
