Job summary

H2ajobs is seeking workers to assist with livestock husbandry in North Dakota. You will move, sort, feed and check animals, assist with veterinary visits and calving, and help maintain pens in winter conditions. Duties may shift by season and location, with emphasis on safety and animal welfare.

Housing and meals are provided; transportation may be reimbursed after the initial period. Some days involve varied weather and heavy labor, with strict safety and drug testing policies in place.

Qualifications

• 2 months of experience preferred.
• Must have a driver's license within 30 days of hire.
• Basic English literacy and math skills required.
• Worker may be exposed to varying weather conditions and physical labor.
• Random drug testing and background checks may occur post-hire.

Responsibilities

• Move livestock from pastures to winter feeding facility.
• Sort livestock and monitor health.
• Feed livestock and assist with veterinary visits and medication administration.
• Clean pens and maintain pens/enclosures.
• Calving support: tag calves, record sex, vaccinate, monitor calves.
