Job summary

H2ajobs is seeking a livestock handler on a North Dakota farm to feed, water, and monitor cattle; herd animals to pastures and enclosures; inspect for illness and weight gain; and maintain facilities. You may assist with basic treatments and arrange veterinary care as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience with livestock handling or farm work is preferred.
• Must be able to speak English and follow safety guidelines.
• Able to lift up to 60 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Feed and water livestock and monitor supplies.
• Herd animals to pastures or to scales and enclosures.
• Inspect animals for illness or injury and assess weight gain.
• Provide basic medical treatment or arrange veterinarians as needed.
• Maintain housing, pens, fences, and equipment.
• Move equipment or livestock between locations.
• Clean stalls and equipment with cleaning supplies.
• Assist with animal breeding and births as required.
